How highs the water?

Oakie didn’t have to bend much to get a drink. The dog loves the pristine Adirondack waters to drink and play in. Here at the home office in the southern tier of NY water levels are at flood stage. Local streams are unfishable unless you are in the head of the headwaters. I did get a report of some beautiful trout being caught in the Derytur area with one of the stream browns exceeding the 20 inch mark. My buddy Mark forgot his camera so I have no pictures but all were released and are waiting for you. I received a report from the Salmon River at Pulaski and the steelhead are hammering. My reporter lives their and said that he caught 6 on Sunday and never had to move from where he was standing. All were in the 6-8# range. I also got a report from the Lake at Oswego and my friends were slaying the browns just outside the harbor. One of the browns topped the 12# mark. That was yesterday 8/27. The Adirondack report in the northern section is that they have been spared the torrential downpours that have ravaged much of the rest of the state and with temperatures near 80 for a few days things are getting ready to explode up there. Here I am with a broken ankle and not happy!!!!
