Adirondack Trout Fishing Update – June 27, 2013

Papa Bear is currently up in the northern Adirondack region of New York State for an extended trip, of course without internet access. But where there’s a will – there’s a way to provide conditions updates from within the nerve center of the most remote wild trout fishing center in the area. For the next several weeks the ol’ master will be updating the stream reports via voicemail.

Current conditions: Excellent

River Height: A Bit High

River Clarity: Good

Significant Hatches: Stonefly

Trout Activity Report: Clients and guides alike were treated this week to career days at Papa Bear’s Outdoors Adirondack Retreats. Over a dozen wild trout were landed between 14-24 inches on stonefly patterns within the first hour of fishing. One monster brown trout was broken off estimated to exceed 26″.
